Today was our grand opening and it was a success! This was the culmination of a lot of work and long hours by so many people, especially Ashley and her family.
The store looks so colorful, and this is just the start.
We have more yarn coming and we are excited for the Flock and Fiber Festival next week so we can get to meet more vendors and distributors.
We had over 200 participants in the door prize raffle. And I received a lot of feedback that people are excited for not just our yarn and craft kits, but also for our events. The free craft was a hit with both kids and adults.
As the farmer's market continues just outside our door (every Saturday till the last week of October) we will continue to have inexpensive <$5 drop in craft available.
And lastly, our kickoff class was a paint class. Tonight we recreated the magic that happened this past year, the Northern Lights visible at Crater Lake. It was a fun painting, and the participants are looking forward to more classes in the future.
I am excited for all the classes on the calendar. We have already had requests for particular classes, so we will make sure we get those on the calendar, too. We have needle felting, soap making, and a screen printing class in time for Halloween. I had requests for a spinning circle group, a beaded leather bracelet class, and the possibility of working with a local florist for flower arrangement classes. If you have something specific you want to see being taught please message us. And I hope to see you in soon!
